Frequently Asked Questions
Question:
We are planning to visit London this summer. We would like to try your offer regarding Eurostar trips to Paris in France and/or Brussels in Belgium. (1 day Trip by Eurostar). At what time of the day this trip starts? How long does it take to visit Paris or Brussels and the come back to our hotel? Is there a tour guide to lead us in Paris or Brussels? Is it a group tour OR personal tour? Do we need a visa to visit Brussels (we have British Visa only)? Are there available seats for 3 adults on Monday?
Answer:
Days of departure details depend on which tour you choose. Courtesy departure transfer from most Central London hotels to the station at 05.30 or 06.00 a.m. is included in the price. Exact time depends on where you are in London and will be confirmed by email on receipt of your booking. Clients can start in groups and later take time off and make their own way to the Paris station. Return to London is confirmed by your ticket and it is approximately 21.00/22.00 hours. You need a passport and a Shengen Visa for France, if required (this VISA is different from the UK VISA). You need to call your Passport Office giving them your passport details, if you are not sure. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Eurostar tickets advertised are the cheapest version and are not refundable, they are only valid for the date and for the name described in the ticket. However, for an additional fee, it is possible to book Eurostar tickets which are more flexible. No liability is accepted for not checking in time for departure, for not having appropriate documentation for entry into the country and any other reason apart from cancelling the tour due to lack of demand, in which case a full refund will be forthcoming.
Question:
How will I know what time and where shall we leave?
Answer:
info@londontourguides.com On receipt of your confirmation, we Email you a voucher in an attachment containing timing details and courtesy departure arrangements. Should you fail to receive the voucher, it is your responsibility to check your email box and find out. Should unforeseen circumstances occur, we try to contact clients by phone, email and hotel details which are provided by our clients. Should we receive no reply from any of this, after leaving messages, we have no choice but wait for the client to contact us.
Please, after each visit, remember to ask your tour guide at what time the coach (bus) leaves and if it leaves from the same place of arrival.
Question:
My husband and I, will be arriving at Heathrow Airport at 12 noon. We fly out of Heathrow at 10:30 pm that same night. So, during that time between flights, say between 1:00 or 1:30 and about 8pm, we would like to explore London a bit and have dinner there. Do you have a recommendation for a short tour from the airport and returning to the airport?
Answer:
Yes! Take a combined transfer/tour for your Stopover (Layover) at the airport. Go to the website: www.londontourguides.com and click on: 'Airport Transfers' where you will find useful details of arrival transfers combined with sightseeing.
In this case, as arrival time fluctuates making it impractical for you to join a set programme, we recommend the private guided car tour from the airport and returning by car to the airport providing you with your desired wish to see London and dine in a typical Pub. Early booking is advised.
Question:
Are your tours suitable for wheelchair users? I will be coming to London soon and would like to know if you offer accessible bus/van tours of London. Please write back to let me know what types of services you offer for disabled persons.
Answer:
We are able to take folding wheelchairs only on buses. We do ask that you are able to climb the stairs on and off the coach with the aid of your helper. Our driver and guide can also assist. We have many years experience on disabled clients and we welcome them, but British historic sites vary. Some have partial access, others full access facilities and wheelchairs. To enable us to organize your tour, please advice us your dates of arrival well in advance, make sure you have a carer with you and specify disability seriousness.
Question:
Where can I get picked up for my tour?
Answer:
Private car tours departures from clients hotels or apartments. At the end of a private tour, clients choose where they wish to end the tour in London. Bus tours have a morning courtesy pick up from some London hotels. Clients are taken to a central London point where they will be distributed to busses on various tours of London and/or England. At the end of a bus tour, clients are dropped off at a convenient point. The tour guides will find out where everyone is staying in London, while on tour. Then they will plan a route through London that is convenient for you, or advise you how to take the Underground or Bus services back to your hotel.
Question:

Question:
We have received no reply and we send again our programme. We will be arriving on a cruise to Dover with a group of 60 people. We need to reserve the transfer from Dover Pier to London, with a stop at Leeds Castle for a visit and lunch at the restaurant of your choice. Then the next day, a full day guided tour with an inside visit to the Tower of London and the Crown Jewels. Before going back to the hotel, some of us would like to go to Harrods for shopping. The remainder would like to be taken back to the hotel and later to the theatre for dinner and show.
Answer:
We already sent you an email with a complete quotation attached. Please, find a copy email with an attachment containing the original offer. Confirm receipt immediately, as sometimes even legitimate emails trigger one of the filters of the receiving ISP and the email will not be delivered. To make matters worse, neither party will never know it wasn't delivered as most ISP's simply dump it into cyperspace!
Question:
What happens if I have to cancel?
Answer:
Please, see our cancellation policy and terms. We rarely have cancellations but if we do have to cancel for our reasons, refunds are available in full.
