Please note that, you must send us an Email with your dates, before confirming Online, as we need to tell you if there is availability for this train tour. Your day starts at 06.15 with a very relaxing train journey north to the spectacular Lake District National Park Area in a little over 3 hours.
On arrival you will be met by our Professional Guide.
Our tour of the Lake District includes a cruise on one of the Lakes, gliding through the waters (for which the area is very famous) against the dramatic backdrop of the District's mountains.
Then on to the picturesque medieval village of Hawkshead, with a combination of whitewashed houses, its cobbled streets, narrow alleyways overlooked by a 16th Century Church.
We make our way to Hill Top, the inspiration for many of Beatrix Potter's characters. Her home, where she wrote several of her famous stories, remains exactly as she left it and in each room there is something that appears in one of her books.
You will also experience many others of the Lake District's most picturesque beauty spots.
A scenic drive through the Langdales Valley in the heart of the Lake District to Grasmere, an ancient and popular village, stone built and blending softly into its mountain background.
We return through the bustling village of Bowness and back to Oxenholme station in time for our train back to London.
We arrive back at the London Station at approximately 20.20 hours.
